Napoleon Mine Photos June 7th, 2015 A look into the main pit of the Napoleon from the new road. Doug Johnson at the bottom of the debris pile in the mine pit. This hole at the bottom of the mine pit drops perhaps 100 feet or more straight down. Sulphur stains the wall of the mine pit near the exit hole. Sulphur seeps out of the walls near the exit hole. A drift opening with blue copper stains around it is a bit out of reach. Yellow from sulphur, blue from copper, red from iron all colors on the walls. A rock quarry with no known metals, just slate is on the way up to the mine. A few Tiger Lilies and millions of sweet clover flowers cover the hills
