Steve Fox

Steve Fox has been a big help to the club during the last few years. As a high school teacher, geologist and long-time rock hound in the area, he is fountain of wisdom. He also writes for the newsletter and received an award in 2009 for his story in the October 2008 Prospector, Capturing the Wild Dioptase. Article by Steve or about field trips that he has been on or led are in almost every issue the past few years. There is a particularly nice story about Steve and Johnie Pitman’s visit to the local schools in the May 2009 issue.

Hi Steve, its Peter from Canada. My wife Cathy and I have joined your group on a couple field trips. I have a suggestion can we go to the Van Stone Mine ? Or one of the ones near Deep Lake ? The white rock . Quarry across from evans was real nice as well. I do have a contact at kent exploration for flagstaff near northport. It said on their website they were blasting this week. COuld make for a neat trip if we can go on Sunday maybe. Does anyone in your group know this company from Northport ? North Columbia Enterprises of Northport, WA, They are operating the mone for Kent exploration. Cheers Peter & Cathy 2503645805
