Jim Creek Mine Field trip 8/27/11

August 24th, 2011

The Panorama Gem and Mineral Club is joining the Spokane Rock Rollers Club on a field trip to the Jim Creek Mine outside of Ione.  The Panorama Gem and Mineral Club will gather at the Colville Safeway parking lot at 9AM in the Morning.  We can carpool from there and rendezvous with the Rock Rollers at the train station in Ione at 10AM. The Jim Creek Mine has galena (lead ore) and pyrite.  You can read more about it in two articles, February and September 2008 newsletters online at http://panoramagem.com/?page_id=33. Bring rock hammers, chisels, bars – a car you are willing to scratch and a lunch.
